It's Shocking What a Great Photographer Can Do

Like she seems to be -- the first time you saw yourself in a picture, was it shocking?

"Wait, that's not how I thought I looked!"

"Oh man, why does my face look so weird when I talk"

At least those were my thoughts. What were yours?

There's a certain level of trust and reliance you place in the hands of one who calls themselves a "photographer". A moniker not to be taken lightly. I was accused of being too confident and having a big ego.

"How dare he call himself 'Yohance Bailey Photography' with little to no knowledge!"

Do you think they were right to say those things about a new photographer? To some degree, I see where those people were coming from now; that's a title that has to be earned. People are trusting you with their time and money so that they get that jolt of dopamine whenever they see that investment. That is because they can't and don't know how to do it on their own. When was the last time you took a non selfie of yourself that you were truly happy with?

So, to those people and you guys I ask, am I a photographer now? Or am I once again being too confident or egotistical?
